PETALING JAYA: The blog of former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pix), chedet.cc, had been suspended this afternoon.
The blog site, where the former prime minister posts his opinions and statements on current issues, could not be accessed since 4pm today.
The site displays a notification saying 'the account had been suspended'.
Prior to the suspension, an entry on the controversial 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue had been posted today.
The entry can be found on the "Saya Sayang Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad" Facebook page, and had over 1,500 'Likes' since it was posted at around 3pm.
The article criticised 1MDB, and called for the police to carry out forensic investigations into the people managing this sovereign funds.
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission strategic communications senior director Sheikh Raffie Abd Rahman was reported saying that the commission was not involved with the site being blocked to netizens.
