Where's my car again? Stressful situations, forgetfulness or simply
being unfamiliar with your surroundings can make it easy to forget where you've
parked.
It's a wise idea to make a note of the street name or the nearest
intersection in your smartphone before leaving your car behind, advises Tuev, a
German consumer protection agency.
In a car park, the floor, row and car park address can be important
pieces of information. You can easily record these by taking a photo on your
way out, Tuev advises.
In many map apps for smartphones, you can also
save your current location and use it later to find your way back. Geotagging
also allows users to store their location in photos, thus "marking" a
photographed parking space and bringing up the location when prompted. — dpa
